Easter brunch

Today we celebrated Easter with Jeff's family by going to brunch at The Purple Onion. It was great to see all of him family again. They all loved Aubrey's new hair cut!

Snip, snip....

Today, we took Aubrey to Cookie Cutters to get her first haircut. It was such a big event for her. She sat in the pink race car, watched Elmo on TV and of course, managed to squirm around, too. Somehow, Bekky was still able to cut her hair fairly straight. :) Afterwards, she had her picture taken which was put on her certificate along with her hair. Our little baby looks like a toddler now. And...she can finally see again! Jeff calls her his "little Dutchboy" but we both agree she looks absolutely adorable! (originally posted on Babysites)

Walking soon?

Someone is starting to walk more and more...pretty soon it may be unassisted....

Orion and Philly

This past weekend was another traveling weekend for us... Jeff heading to Philadelphia for Jeff and Mary Uhrig's wedding while Aubrey and I went back to Orion. While in Orion, we were able to attend Jared's music program and also cheer on Kyle in his final basketball game. His team went undefeated this season! We also were able to visit great Grandma and Grandpa Harkey. They light up when able to see our little bundle of joy. We spent some quality time with my brother and sisters and Aubrey was able to play with each of her cousins. She was excited to find someone that could speak her language while communicating with Lainey. :)

Aubrey is also becoming a little more courageous with her standing. She will just stand up in the middle of the room for no reason, balance for a few seconds, then sit back down. I think this is an indication that she will be walking soon. Since we've been back home, she is also beginning to use everything to help her walk around the room...her walking toys, the stroller, even her music table....she's been pushing that into the kitchen the past few days. We think she'll take her first step soon and hope to catch it on video and film. (originally posted on Babysites)
