This past weekend was a tough one. Jeff stood up in the wedding of one of his closest friends, Matt Smith. So, we were off to St. Louis. This is the first time that we were leaving Aubrey behind. My parents drove here for the weekend to stay with her. I think the change in personnel was much easier on her, than me. I cried as soon as we pulled out of the driveway. Luckily, I had a couple of videos and lots of pictures on the camera to look at her while we were gone.
Our trip to St. Louis was wonderful. We shared a room with Paul Richardson and his fiance, Melissa
Beitz. Due to the timing of the events, we were able to
sight see a little in St. Louis. We decided to go see the arch and the surrounding area. Once there, we thought it would be a better idea to go up in the arch. While in line for the tickets, Jeff began to have second thoughts. His unknown fear of
claustrophobia began to come out. After much discussion, he decided to tough it out. I'm glad he did as the view from the top was beautiful. You could see all of downtown St. Louis as well as a pretty aerial view of the Mississippi River.

The wedding ceremony and reception was equally beautiful. It was held outdoors at an old plantation house. They couldn't have asked for better weather either. We were honored to be a part of their special day.

Next up...Paul and Melissa wedding in three weeks in
Effingham. Hopefully, it'll be a little easier to leave Aubrey behind this time.
Thanks to Mom and Dad for taking such good care of our little peanut!
