40 years of bliss

This past weekend, we celebrated Grandma and Grandpa Sandberg's 40th wedding anniversary at Brookfield Zoo. All of the grandkids loved spending the day with their Grandparents. I'm sure Grandma and Grandpa were probably pretty worn out by days' end though as they seemed to always be carrying someone. Aubrey had a great time there and loved the carousel. Her squeals and giggles were so infectious. She also loved hearing the lion roar and keep saying "again" to hear it some more!

Baby Chase

My friend, Michelle, and her new baby Chase came to visit us today. He is adorable. He was born on April 18 with a full head of hair. I thought my kids had a lot of hair but he has them beat! His is dark and thick and so cute! We put the boys next to each other. Someday they will be good buddies! Welcome to the Mommy Club, Michelle!

Memorable Memorial weekend

This past weekend was Memorial Day weekend and it was a busy one. Jeff went to Minneapolis for volleyball Nationals (won the silver division in AA) while I went back to Orion with the kids. We were just as busy there spending time with all of the family and seeing some sights as well. The first night all of the family came over and we met baby Kellen, born to Aaron and Lissy, for the first time. He was born April 15 and is a cutie! Tyler looks so big next to him! He and Tyler will become good friends just like their big sisters!

On Saturday, we were able to visit Great Grandma Harkey so she could meet Tyler. Aunt Gail was there, too, so she also got to see him again! Too bad Grandpa was still in the hospital. Hopefully he'll be able to see him next time we are back visiting.

Saturday, we also went to Niabi Zoo with Grandma and Grandpa as well as Aaron and Denise's families. It was so fun!

Sunday, we went to the annual family picnic at Ray and Mary's house in East Moline. There were a lot of cousins there that got to meet Tyler for the first time. Afterwards we stopped at Deanna's house where Aubrey got to play with Jared, sit on their quad runner and watch the baby calves get bottle fed. We love the country!

While there, we also ate Happy Joe's and Frank's Pizza. Yummy!! Aubrey was able to see a lot of animals as Grandma and Grandpa got a new puppy, Tucker. She just loves animals!
Throughout the entire trip, Tyler was a wonderful baby, too. He was smiling all of the time and really likes to "talk," too. He's going to have to get a little louder though if we are ever going to hear him over Aubrey. We had a great trip and look forward to many more fun times with our family!

MOTY award

I believe I deserve "Mom of the Year" award based on the following video. I will follow it up by saying 1) she was fine and 2) this is the 4th time she had gone down the slide and not once had she fallen off. We went over and washed her hands and rinsed her mouth and were playing again in minutes. Not a single tear was shed! She's much tougher than I thought!

Swings + Slides = Fun x 3

We love the playground. Another beautiful day means we ventured to the park once again. I love to be out with the kids and Aubrey burns some energy. Win, win!

McD's playland

Aubrey received her final birthday present today. Aunt Gail took us to McDonald's for lunch and play time at the play land. It was Aubrey's first time there so she was a little apprehensive at first. After Mommy going up and showing her the ropes, she lost all inhibitions and had a ball. She would climb all the way to the top and go down two floors of slides. She loved it! Thanks Aunt Gail!
