Aubrey is two!!

It's hard to believe she has already been a part of our lives for two years! We love our little girl so much and feel as if she has been with us for much longer! Aubrey's vocabulary is increasing and she's beginning to also speak in sentences more often. We don't understand her all of the time but it is getting much easier to hold a conversation with her. This has cut back dramatically on the number of tantrums she has since we can now do what she is asking of us.

During playtime, Aubrey really loves going to the park. The big slides are her favorite. She also loves to swing. She loved the big swing at Grandma and Grandpa Kunert's house. She has become much better at doing puzzles, especially the animal and alphabet puzzles. She has also gained a love for Elmo!! The sing-along Elmo is her favorite and she loves dancing to the music with Mommy! We've also been coloring with her more often. She practices naming the different colors of the crayons, always guessing "yellow" first. But she will also say pink, blue, green and purple. When she's on her own, we have also noticed her singing the alphabet (or trying to) as well as counting in English and Spanish (up to cinco!). She still enjoys watching Dora and Diego, but Wow Wow Wubbzy has become her favorite for the month!

We celebrated her Aubrey's birthday with an Elmo theme. Even though she doesn't really watch Sesame Street or Elmo, she knows who he is and loves him! There were about 35 people at her party, including all of her aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. I made Aubrey an Elmo cake, with a little frosting help from Deanna and Mom. She was so excited. I heard "Elmo cake, Elmo cake, Elmo cake" while baking it the night before the party. :) She received a lot of great gifts including a tricycle, a Big Wheel, an Elmo sing-along, a water sprinkler, baseball and bat, lots of clothes and many, many more. Thank you to everyone! She is such a loved, little girl!

We can't wait for what her future holds. She is a beautiful, lovable, brilliant young girl! She is still our baby though! :) We love her so much!! (originally posted on Babysites)
