Morton Arboretum

Today is Earth Day and that means free entrance to Morton Arboretum. So, we met Kate and Ava Fasshauer there along with everyone else from the Chicagoland area. :) The girls had a ball together. We spent a couple of hours in the children's play area. They played in the musical flower garden, by the ponds and at the playground. When done there, we stopped for lunch and finished up the day with a walk around the lake. It was a gorgeous day to be outside. Once again, Tyler slept most of the time!

Let's plant a tree

Spring is here! Time to get outside, play in the lawn, go for a wagon ride, play at the park, do some lawn work, catch some rays, etc. Aubrey and Jeff even planted a tree for Earth Day this year! Aubrey loves it outside!

One's hard to grasp and the other is trying to escape. Poor Daddy!

Grab that egg!

This past weekend, we went to Orion to celebrate Easter and Evan's 10th birthday. Plus, it was Tyler's first trip there! Both kids made the trip to and from exceptionally well. We set up the DVD player with Mickey and Diego for Aubrey and she was content. Tyler just slept the whole way!

Saturday we went up to Central Park for the Easter egg hunt. Aubrey was very excited and could hardly wait for them to say "Go!" However, once they did, she didn't want to leave the sidewalk. She managed to find two eggs before running astray to the pine tree. One of the volunteers followed her and gave her a third egg. She was most excited to find the candy inside. We all had a great time up there.

That night, everyone came over to celebrate Evan's birthday. It's hard to believe he is already 10! Aubrey had a lot of fun with the cousins. She especially liked feeding Lainey her lima beans and sharing her orange. When the girls were running around, "Aubery" and "Maimy" were constantly heard! Tyler had a good time (I think) as well going from person to person. He must have liked everyone as he slept most of the time.

On Sunday, we celebrated with Easter with a delicious ham! Yummy! Thanks to Mom and Dad for letting us stay at your house. We had a great time and look forward to our return at the end of the May! (originally posted on Babysites)
