After much work on the yard, Jeff decided it was time to dethatch the lawn. So, he called his dad and he brought over his lawn tractor with the dethatching attachment to get the job done. Of course, Aubrey thought she needed to help, too! She started the day by riding with Grandpa on the tractor. Once the sprinkler was set up, she played a little there. Then, she helped with the raking and bagging of the dead grass. She sure is a big help. She'd better watch out or Daddy might take advantage of that in years to come!

I know it's been quite a while since I've added an update so here goes...

We are happy to share that Aubrey will be a big sister!! I am just finishing up the first trimester and my due date is set for February 26, 2009. The initial ultrasound indicated that the date may be moved ahead one week but we won't know that until my appointment next week. So far, everything is going well. After about 10 days of nausea and several weeks of being really tired, I am finally starting to regain some of my energy. It came at the perfect time with my Olympic fever hitting!

The energy is much needed, too, as Aubrey is such a ball of fire these days! She is so much fun and is learning so many new things. In addition to saying "hi" (which she has perfected)... she is also starting to say "mama, daddy, and ball..." Besides that, she'll go and get the book that I specify from her bag of books, will get a diaper and wipes (even though the wipes are not requested) when I ask her to and she will help pick up her toys after her bath. Those are just a few... she is amazing though!

It's hard to believe summer is almost over. We look forward to the fall, pumpkin season and of course baby #2 growing every day! (originally posted on Babysites)
