Aubrey and I went back to Orion for a few days. As usual, the days were jam packed with activities. On Tuesday, Deanna and Denise each came over with their kids to go swimming. It was Aubrey's first time in a big pool. She didn't really want to float around on her own but loved swimming with Mommy. We spent over an hour in the pool together. She didn't even mind when the boys would splash her in the face with water.

Tuesday night we went to watch Sarah play baseball. She can really hit the ball. Aaron, Lissy and Lainey came up, too. The girls love to play together. They are going to be such good friends as they get older.

Wednesday we went to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa Harkey. They both love to see Aubrey. She loves the attention and puts on a show whenever possible. These days she says "hi" all of the time and waves at everyone. After our visit with them, we went to Niabi Zoo with Grandma and Grandma, Denise, Evan and Sarah. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. Aubrey likes to look at the animals...at least the ones that are in plain sight. She especially loves the petting zoo...maybe it's because the animals are more her size. :)

Wednesday night we went to Jared's baseball game. He is cute to watch. It's amazing how quickly the little ones learn the game and develop their skills. We can't wait until Aubrey can play sports, too.

Thursday night was the biggest day of all! Grandpa Kunert prepared a lighted wagon to pull in the lighted float parade in Orion. It looked so nice! He did a wonderful job decorating with all of the lights...the music was nice, too. All of the grandkids rode in the wagon waving at the spectators while Mom, Deanna, Denise and Jake walked along side passing out candy. The kids had a great time! I think Grandpa was pretty proud, too. Afterwards we went to the football field to watch the fireworks. Aubrey loved them. She sat in her stroller eating her goldfish like she was watching a movie with a bowl of popcorn. Too cute! Even though it was a late night, she was in good spirits the whole time and even slept like a champ.

The next morning we headed back home to see Daddy. We missed him so much. That day we had a BBQ at Grandma and Grandpa Sandberg's house. The weather was awesome and Aubrey had a great time with all of the Sandberg cousins. We also managed to surprise Grandpa Sandberg with a retirement party. He had no idea!

What a great week! We look forward to more fun this weekend. We are off to the Wisconsin Dells. Jeff will be playing in a volleyball tournament on Saturday. Aubrey and I play to watch him in between our times at the pool. :) (originally posted on Babysites)
