My birthday weekend

This past weekend was so much fun! I celebrated my birthday and wanted to spend as much time together doing family activities as possible. Saturday afternoon, we went to Johansen's Farm. We got to look at all of the pumpkins. Aubrey enjoyed them even though they are so big compared to her...she even tried to lift a few on her own. We took a lot of pictures of me. Aubrey we even sat still to pose for a few. :)

The pumpkin patch must have been extremely tiring for Aubrey as she fell asleep in her high chair mid lunch.

On Sunday afternoon, we went to the DuPage Children's Museum in Naperville. Aubrey is still pretty small for a lot of the activities but there was plenty for her to do. First, we went to the bubble area. It was so cool! Some of the bubbles were huge. You could also make a bubble around you...but when Jeff tried to do it with Aubrey, she didn't want to cooperate. Next we went to play with the air tubes. Aubrey enjoyed watching the orange balls float in the air. Her pinwheel kept spinning like crazy, too. Then we went to her favorite area...the air tunnel!!! It was very windy...so much so that her hair and dress were blowing all over! We played with balls, Frisbees, and streamers in there. Jeff and I felt like we were getting blown over but it didn't even phase Aubrey. She went as close to the fan as she could. She also went up into the sky tunnel with Daddy, played in the reflective mirrors and drew pictures with glow sticks. It was so much. She had a smile on my face nonstop...well, up until that we had to carry her out to go home. We are hoping to bring her back when she's a little older...maybe when she's 2?

This weekend we are going back to Orion to visit. Aubrey can't wait to play with all of her cousins. We are going to go to a big pumpkin patch there, Caleb's football game and then on Saturday we are taking family pictures. It should be fun, too!
